Brian Facente to Retire as Webmaster |
| After 10 years as Ledyard Music's webmaster, Brian Facente will be stepping aside at the end of the 2005-2006 school year. He has seen literally thousands of Ledyard Music students come through our program and documented much of it on this web site. He plans to spend more time traveling and enjoying the experience of an "empty nest" with his wife Alice. A new webmaster has already volunteered and will be working with Brian over the remainder of the school year to ensure that the amazing talents of the Ledyard Music students continue to be showcased on the web site during the transition and for many years to come. |

The 2005-2006 school year marks the 10th year that Ledyard High School Music has been showcased on the World Wide Web. There have been many changes in LHS Music over that time, but one thing has remained constant; the many outstanding concerts, performances, and community services provided by our exceptional students. LHS Music will continue that great tradition during the upcoming school year and we hope you will be a part of the fun and excitement.

After many years at Ledyard High School, Mrs. Rachael Hibbard moved to Florida in July. First as a student, then as an alumna who accompanied many a concert performance, then as a choral teacher, and finally as a voice teacher and private tutor, Rachael made an invaluable contribution to the Ledyard music program. Parents, faculty and students alike were enriched by her talents and all she had to offer. While we are saddened to see her go, the entire Ledyard music family wishes Rachael, her husband Josh and son Ethan best of luck and happiness in Florida. They will always be part of the Ledyard Music family. Perhaps we can visit them with several plane loads of students on our next trip to Disney World! (shhhh, it's a surprise). Thanks Mrs. Hibbard for making Ledyard Music a better and more talented place! |
