Membership Drive 2007-2008 in progress
The LHS Music Boosters have begun their 2007-2008 Membership Drive. Letters have been mailed to all parents/guardians of students who participate in performing groups during the first and/or second semester, asking for a donation of $10.00 per student per semester ($20.00 per year). We strongly encourage everyone to participate, as it remedies our financial obligations for the year and minimizes the need for the numerous fund raisers that have been held in the past. |
LHS Music Boosters to sponsor Little Caesar’s Fundraiser From March 17th to March 28th music students will have an opportunity to participate in the Little Caesar’s Fundraiser. With a proposed 2009 trip to Florida on the horizon, this is an excellent chance to make some money. All profits will go directly to individual student accounts. LHS Music Boosters Lasagna Dinner– February 7, 2008, 5:00 to 7:00 pm The LHS Music Boosters award-winning Lasagna dinner was held on Thursday, Feb. 7th, 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the High School cafeteria with entertainment by our own talented music students, followed by Students on Stage (SoS) at 7:30 pm in the Gaucher Auditorium. There was some great music, food, and student written/acted plays that evening and it helped out the music department! Bon appetite! LHS Music would like to thank all of the people who made the lasagna dinner such a big success. There are too many parents who helped to mention individually but a special thanks must go to Clare Ford for organizing the event. There was plenty of food for everyone and this is due to Clare's organization and the generous donation of food from our wonderful parents, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and Stop & Shop (Groton). Thanks to all the parents who worked in the kitchen the evening of the dinner and to the students who helped serve throughout the night. Thanks also must go to the students for their performances and to all of the friends of LHS Music who attended the dinner. |
