Ledyard — Lauren P. Candler, 15, of 3 Goulart Road in Ledyard, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005, at The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was born on Feb. 25, 1990, in Norwich, the daughter of Kenneth and Barbara Eccleston Candler of Ledyard. Lauren was currently a sophomore in the Agri-Science program at Ledyard High School and had been involved with the school choral program as well as Innervision, a writing club, at the high school. Lauren was also a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Gales Ferry; and will always be remembered for her love of horses. Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister and brother, Tess E. and Daniel D. Candler, both of Ledyard; her maternal grandfather, Charlie Eccleston of Ledyard (her late grandmother was Patricia Eccleston); her paternal grandparents, Joe and Barbara Candler of Fort Worth, Texas, Aunt and Uncle Karen and Carbet Meyers and their children Madison and Caiden, all of Ledyard, Aunts and Uncles Joe and Bruni Candler, John and Stacia Candler, Thomas and Jennie Candler, Debbie and Robert Walker, and several first and second cousins, all of Fort Worth, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Rt. 12, in Gales Ferry. Burial will follow in the Avery-Stoddard Cemetery in Ledyard. Please note: visiting hours will be held Friday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Rt. 12, in Gales Ferry.
