Vocal Music Director Andrea Welty Peachey |
| Andrea Welty Peachey (Mrs. WP) is choral director and vocal music teacher at Ledyard High School. She comes to Ledyard most recently from Enfield High School in Enfield, CT, and currently conducts the Women's Chorus, Ledyard Chorale, Select Singers, Vocal Jazz and Premier, along with teaching voice and keyboard classes. She has taught elementary and middle school music as
well as preschool music classes. Mrs. Welty Peachey earned her Bachelor's degree from Goshen College in music education and her master's degree in music education/choral conducting from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford. She has a level I certificate in both Kodaly and the Choral Music Experience. While at Hartt, she conducted a choir in the Connecticut Children's Chorus and sang in the Hartt Chorale. She has served as Eastern Region chorus chair and is currently serving on the CT ACDA board as chair of Women's/Girls' Choirs. She studies voice privately with Mary Beth Lee in Norwich, CT. Andrea and her husband Jon live in Norwich with their three year old daughter, Allysen Mei. |
